So yeah, these are expensive. I really wish they'd come down in price but I knew what I was doing when I ordered them so I can't factor price into my review. I bought ten of these to use as "navigation" lights. I have a light fixture in each room dedicated to what I call navigation lights. These are lights I use to navigate the house in the dark. I used to keep small,
works perfectly after 10 tries! planning to buy two more. highly recommended item.
Works great and I love gadgets, but I really have no use for it!
I absolutely love this bulb. With all but one complaint. Sometimes it wont reconnect with the wifi after an outage. Which forces me to have to do the set it up process. Besides that i have no complaints
It's a fun addition to my Echo. I now have 3 of them.
No hub, no problem. Connected seemlessly. Just make sure the wattage is enough for your needs.
I bought the LB110 model (green label) for our living room and I can't believe I've been using a regular switch on incandescent light my whole life. You don't think that you'll need to turn the light off (or dim it!) when you're sitting down...but you do. I have my bulb connected via the app, but mainly control it with Google Assistant, which keeps all of my smart devices connected. This bulb proves its worth not only in energy savings, but when the dog is asleep on your lap and you don't want to move, or even those with kids who A. want to leave a dim light on or B. Can't get up from the couch cause they're infant just went to sleep, then this light is perfect for you.
Took a week for me to set the bulb up with wifi and google home. Probably did it at least 10 times before it properly worked. Then it worked for one day only then it hasn't worked since. It's been a month already. It only works as an expensive light bulb now.
This bulb works pretty much as expected, though not all functions are available via Alexa/Echo (On/Off and dimming are). You have to download the app for setup and full control (like schedules and such), but this seems to be the norm with these things. The "50W equivalent" is not that bright, but sufficient for many uses (i.e. bedside nightstand, hallway, table lamp, etc.). I don't like that you have to setup an account with TP-link for these. I have enough accounts already. But that may be normal, also, not really sure. The price is a consideration for sure. It would take a lot of years of energy savings to pay for this LED bulb, but still, it's decent and does what it claims to do and I like that it is dimmable.
Wish I research it more as I want to use with my Vera Lite and only works with Alexa or their app with are both great and work fine.
I love having this bulb in my bedroom. I can walk in with my hands full and not have to stumble around in the dark.
