A very bright flash light, sturdy, and well built. I also have the LC40 flash light from Anker and there's a huge difference as you can image going from 400 to 900 lumens. These are great flash lights and you can't go wrong. You might be able to get flash lights with roughly the same lumens but the quality might just not be there.
i recieve the flashlight in classic Anker Style box white and blue.I am really amazed with build quality from Anker, The flashlight has metal cap and elastic cord, and it looks very strong and durable also, the flashlight was very nice grip and nice to hold.No need to worries about batteries because this flashlight is include with rechargeable battery, you can use micro USB to charge the flashlight. The light beam was so amazing, you can see the beam from few blocks away. So this really recommended for camping, hiking, and even at daily home use.I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, and I promised that my review is fair and honest.
I should mention first that Anker supplied me a sample of this flashlight for my honest and unbiased review.I am constantly buying flashlights. Even though the apocalypse hasn't arrived yet, I still have this feeling that I need to be prepared with the best flashlight available. All of my current flashlights use AA or D batteries. One of the reasons I wanted the Anker flashlights was for its use of rechargeable batteries knowing that they are experts at battery technology. The LC90 is loaded with a rechargeable 3,350 mAh lithium ion battery that lasts a long time. I went camping with it and its big brother, the LC130 and I never had to worry about the battery running out.In use, the lights were really, really bright. The LC90 feels solid in hand and I like the texture of the button. There is a slight learning curve in that you need to press the button twice quickly while the light is on to switch to a different light mode (high, medium, low, quick flash, SOS). Someone who hasn't read the instructions wouldn't know how to switch between the two, but it isn't a problem once you learn it. Charging the battery is interesting in that you unscrew the end to access the micro usb port. I like this ubiquitous mode of charging since I already have tons of ways to charge micro usb devices. The LC90 also zooms by extending the body, a feature that the LC130 doesn't have.In summary, these bright flashlights have an attractive industrial design that feels sturdy in hand and lasts a long time in use and on standby. It's not very intuitive to switch modes but easy after learning it once. It's as easy to charge as your smartphone with its micro-usb port.
This is fascinating flash light. The light is very bright and can be used to reach farther distance compare to my old one. The zoom function is very useful when you want to focus on a specific location. The flashlight is compact and sturdy. It seems like it is made of quality material unlike Chinese made cheap flashlights. The battery is quite big so I hope it last over a night of camping trip. The battery is rechargeable and I hope it doesn't discharge a lot while not in use because I don't use it frequently. I received this flashlight for free in exchange for my honest review.
This is the second flashlight I've received from Anker. Just like the first one, this one is very sturdy and feels good in my hand. While this is a different model altogether, it's definitely an upgrade. It seems to be well made, which is what I've come to expect of Anker products. When I opened the box, naturally, I didn't read the instructions. I unscrewed the end cap to install the battery. I was surprised to see the charging port secured under this cap. Then, that piece also unscrews, to install the battery. There's an elastic cord under the first cap, so it's always attached while charging. It's the little things, that show this was well thought out. As I continued to play with the flashlight without the instructions, I couldn't get the modes to switch properly. I was pressing the button in random fashion, it seemed to change sometimes, and sometimes it would seem to "stick" on the previous mode through several button cycles. Then I attempted to change the focus of the light. I've had many Maglites over the years, so I defaulted to twisting the head to change the zoom. Nope. Then I opened the manual. The zoom is very easily changed by sliding the head of the flashlight in or out, of course I was doing it wrong. I also found that the patterns are changed by pressing the button off/on within two seconds. Once it's off, it will resume the light mode that was last used. That's genius! Now I'm no expert on flashlights, LED technology, or even lumens. The Anker LC40 is the only LED flashlight I have to compare to the LC90. Based on my in-depth research of pointing them both at the wall on "high" mode, with fully charged batteries for about 10 seconds, there's barely a difference in brightness. Don't get me wrong, they're both extremely bright, and there is a slight difference, but it's not huge. Perhaps 400 vs. 900 lumens isn't as big of a gap as it sounds? They're both great flashlights. I'm glad Anker included the rechargeable battery with this model. When you pair that with the zooming lense, it's well worth the increase in price over the LC40.I have the same two minor "gripes" about both flashlights: there's nothing to keep them from rolling, and the wrist strap gets in the way of standing the light on end to illuminate the room. Sure, the strap can be removed. But, there's already low cut edges in the butt of the light; why not put the hole for the strap in one of the lower edges? In a perfect world, it would be nice. Definitely not a deal breaker. I would recommend this flashlight to my closest people, or even the ones furthest from me.As with all of my reviews, I will update this if anything changes from the original review, as I use the item further in time. This concludes my unofficial review of this Anker LC90 flashlight. I hope you found this review helpful in some way. I was provided a sample to test, so that I could offer my fair and honest opinion for everyone here!
Anker LC90 LED Flashlight, IP65 Water-Resistant, Zoomable, Rechargeable, Pocket-Sized Torch (for Camping, Hiking and Emergency Use) with 900 Lumens CREE LED, 5 Light Modes, and 18650 BatteryLight When You Need It!its as simple as that folks!I recently received the opportunity to test one of Anker's latest new products and their entry into something awesome.the Anker LC90 LED Flashlight is blindingly brilliant! and the flashlight im speaking of in this review is the mid range model among Anker's new Flashlight lineup. This flashlight pumps out an intense amount of light!although i never had an open area large, or dark enough to test their claims of the light covering two football fields, id assume, by how powerful the flashlight is, that it would easily make this claim!honestly ive found claims made by Anker to be very accurate and in most cases to even exceed the claims themselves. The Anker LC90 Features 5 lighting modes. High, Medium, and Low strength Beams, and theres a strobe mode, and an SOS mode.i find the low strength beam to be perfect for my needs.Like to kick it into low strength to illuminate certain subjects in shadow for photographyOne cool fun fact about the Anker LC90 LED Flashlight is that its zoomable! you can pull back to turn the light into a narrow beam, or you can push to widen the light to illuminate a larger area.My personal favorite part about the Anker LC90 Flashlight is the gorgeous rechargeable 3350mAh Anker Battery included with it so you know this beast is going to last ridiculously long and its ready whenever you need it!Just plug the flashlight into its included micro usb, and the light will turn red while charging and green when fully charged and your completely good to go!One thing i haven't had to use so far but im sure is going to come in CRAZILY handy is the IP65 Certification of this flashlight which means its splash proof, and shock proof to a certain extent which I know my clumsy self will soon appreciate! The Anker LC90 LED Flashlight is definitely down and ready to get dirty:)I would Most definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a beastly flashlight in a small package.and lastly i received this flashlight in exchange for my honest and unbiased review and im proud to say I proudly use Anker Products! Anker for the Win!!!!
First of all, I'd like to compliment Anker on their superb packaging. The flashlight is neatly packed in blue cardboard with no annoying plastic or Styrofoam to be found. It’s obvious that great thought and consideration was put into the packaging. It feels like I bought something special before I even open it. Nice work there. The flashlight itself is extremely sturdy and offers substantial heft. You definitely know when you’re holding it. This is the kind of flashlight you might see a security guard using to guide his or her way through a crowd at a rock concert. I really like the feel of it.Perhaps the best part of this flashlight, though, is how you charge it. This part is seriously cool. You unscrew the back and plug a mini USB into the flashlight. I own multiple high-end flashlights and have never seen this charging function before. This, to me, is what offsets this flashlight from its competitors. My only complaints – and they’re small – lie in the construction. When you unscrew the back to access the battery, the threading isn’t as smooth as it could be. It should be smooth like glass with no grinding or rough patches. This flashlight grinds ever-so-slightly as if there are tiny metal shavings or fine sand that are preventing a perfect, smooth rotation. My other note regarding the construction is the light itself. When focused (by sliding the lens forward) there is still an outer circle of errant light. It looks a bit odd, and may need some tweaking in future editions.Overall, if you’re looking for a sturdy and very bright flashlight, you won’t find a better choice than this. It will certainly guide your way, and with style too!I received this product in exchange for an honest review.
I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation, and I promise that my review is unbiased, and honest. First off, Anker makes some of the very best products out there. I use their lightning cables exclusively with my iPhones. I also use their wall chargers, car chargers, and I've used their cell phone cases in the past. This flashlight is one awesome device. Exceptional build, and design, well packaged, and this flashlight is bright, and it can be recharged with the enclosed usb cable. I highly recommend this flashlight, if you are looking for something small, portable, but still want something that gives out a lot of light. I plan on purchasing a larger version of this flashlight.
I am loving this flashlight and all it's conveniences such as built in USB recharging and coming with a Li-ion battery for great battery life. The brightness is insane for a little flashlight that is very light. The water resistance is a nice perk for when outside on a rainy day. The size is perfect for a flashlight that is portable and not some skull crusher size that needs huge batteries that add a lot of weight. The 5 different modes this thing has is awesome for different situations and conservation of battery life. The recharging is simple just unscrew the rear cap and plug in a micro USB and that's all to it, no need for external charger to add more bulk to your bag and nice since I can recharge the flashlight with one of my battery packs that other flashlights with rechargeable batteries cannot do. It makes me want to try out and buy the higher end LC130 and see how great that one is and so much brighter. I highly recommend this flashlight for all its convinced and features. I was supplied this product for an honest review and I am loving it.
Great flashlight! It's very bright and VERY sturdy. I'm never disappointed by Anker products. Flashlights are a new product for Anker and I like the features they are including in this newest model. The feature that lifts this flashlight above most of the competitors is that you don't need to remove the battery (included) to recharge the flashlight. You unscrew the back of the flashlight and recharge via a USB to micro USB connector. Very convenient. Unlike Anker's smaller flashlight, this one also allows you to focus the beam. This will be my go to flashlight. Highly recommended!!
This is a terrific small, but not too small, flashlight. I was actually expecting it to be a little smaller, but I really like the size (see photo for reference). It’s a very sturdy device, and while I’m not about to test it myself, I get the impression it could withstand a great deal of abuse. As such, I’d have no reservations about tossing it in my trunk or toolbox where it might jostle with all sorts of stuff. The highest setting is seriously bright, and I suspect I’ll rarely use it unless I’m way out in the country and need some serious range. For use around the house or garage, the medium or low settings are going to be plenty. While I hope I never need the strobe or SOS functions, it’s nice to know they’re available. The wide-angle / spotlight feature works well, and instead of the traditional rotating bezel you just push or pull the head along the body of the flashlight. And unlike traditional bulbs, the LED casts a nearly perfect beam instead of the old bulbs that had hot spots and dark spots.Charging via USB is either a pro or a con, depending on how you plan to use it. Since I’ll be using this mostly around the house or for short trips, it’s great because it saves me from buying batteries. On the other hand, if you’re going to be away from an outlet for an extended period of time (say, backpacking for a week), you don’t have the option of just picking up some spare batteries to throw in your supplies. That’s not unique to this flashlight, of course, but it’s something to consider when deciding what to buy.Like other Anker products I’ve owned and reviewed, I’m quite pleased with this. There are cheaper LED flashlights out there, but this one feels seriously durable and I expect I will get many years of service out of it. And if I have any problems with it in the next year and a half, Anker has a terrific support and exchange policy.I received this unit in exchange for a truthful and unbiased review.
I received this light today and I don't know how Anker does it with shipping so fast. This light is extremely bright and they are serious when they say do not look at it directly as it can cause temporary blindness. The light came neatly packaged and with the battery and micro usb charger packaged separately. At first I did not see where to charge this light but once you unscrew the end cap, there is a spot to plug the charger into. I have never seen a design in a flashlight like this before and thought it is a cool concept not having to remove the battery and use a separate charger like other flashlights. I was provided this device at a discount for my unbiased review. I have also purchased Anker products in the past and the quality is beyond my expectations.
